Rick has been providing practical, user-friendly solutions to clients and organizations for over 15 years. With a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the same institution, Rick has deep experience in technology commercialization and operational leadership roles in the Energy and Construction sectors. Passionate about being a true partner to clients, Rick is committed to helping drive digital transformation work and improving organizational outcomes.

Outside of guiding the Pontem team, Rick is engaged in the community, and a member of the Winspear Center Finance and Audit Committee. Involved in coaching minor hockey and soccer, Rick loves to be active with his family and is happiest when hiking, skiing or golfing - as well as challenging anyone to a ‘name that 90s tune’ showdown.

Jessa is an innovative leader with a passion for creating smarter, scalable organizations through data and automation, and is a relationship builder at heart. Obtaining her CPA designation while working in Audit and Assurance at PwC, Jessa now leads Pontem’s Data Solutions Projects, while also guiding the Finance, Operations and HR functions. Excelling in multi-functional roles, Jessa thrives when helping clients who are eager to innovate and drive their organizations forward with improved strategies.

A dedicated contributor to her community, Jessa is currently a board director for the City of Edmonton Non Profit Housing Corporation (HomeEd), and has previously served as President of the University of Alberta (UofA) Business Alumni Association, and a Member-At-Large at UofA’s Alumni Council. When not immersed in data, Jessa enjoys spending time with her children, extended family and on some occasions, burning up the dance floor at adult hip hop class.

Earning his BS in Software Engineering from the University of Calgary and with over a decade of experience as a Business Analyst, Geoff has deep experience in solving complex business challenges through data analysis, programming, and effective communication. A strong advocate for continuous improvement and effectiveness, Geoff believes these are crucial for not only organizational success but also for leaving a positive impact on employees and the wider community. Earning the trust and respect of clients through working with organizations across various industries, Geoff combines his professional approach with technical expertise in databases, applications, data flows and processes. Dedicated to helping businesses meet their goals through data and technology, Geoff uses his skills and experience to drive innovation and automation forward to create smarter and more scalable organizations.

When not immersed in data, Geoff is a family man through and through. Whether at the pool, park or at home reading together, these are the moments Geoff says are his most cherished.

Armed with a Bachelor of Computer Science in Computer Engineering and an MBA, Ankesh excels at the intersection of technology and business. A talented leader with a history of successfully launching new products at Verizon, he now leads a team Pontem Innovations building scalable dashboards and data ecosystems to drive forward client strategies. Often described as a natural problem solver, Ankesh thrives when working with a wide variety of business functions, using his analytical skills in agile environments to move innovation forward and design customer solutions.

Ankesh has a history of community involvement, with experience volunteering at NET Impact and chairing the Experiential Committee and Social Committee for the MBA Association. An avid fan and player of cricket, Ankesh also enjoys reading fiction books, and hopes to publish his own novel one day. If you don't find Ankesh at the Cricket playing ground, chances are you'll find him at Karaoke singing ‘I Want It That Way’ by the Backstreet Boys.

With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from MacEwan University and certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Lana is passionate about process optimization and helping organizations to continuously improve. As a Business Solutions Manager, Lana enjoys employing data analytics and process automation solutions to address business requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve efficiencies and organizational value.

Outside of work, Lana considers herself a huge foodie, and also loves going on local hikes and taking in yoga classes.

Kristiann is dedicated to helping businesses leverage technology to streamline workflows and optimize operations. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and excels at connecting strategic, big-picture goals with practical, actionable steps to achieve them. Kristiann is passionate about making technology accessible and valuable for everyone,regardless of their comfort level with tech. She is especially driven to bring innovative tech solutions to traditionally underserved sectors, such as non-profits and hospitality. 

Outside of work, Kristiann loves exploring new cities and cultures, teaching dance, tasting wine,  and paddleboarding at the beach.

With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, majoring in Operations Management and minoring in Business Economics and Law, Hiranya is passionate about supporting organizations in optimizing their processes and making data-driven decisions that lead to measurable results. As a Business Analyst at Pontem Innovations, she supports the Business Solutions team by identifying inefficiencies, developing automation strategies, and delivering actionable recommendations that help clients achieve greater efficiency and operational value. Hiranya thrives on problem-solving and enjoys collaborating closely with stakeholders to design practical, results-oriented solutions.

Outside of work, Hiranya is always on the move. A true fitness enthusiast and adventure seeker, she loves staying active whether it’s running, hiking, trying out new sports, or taking on athletic challenges of any kind. Her energy and passion for activity mirror her approach to work: determined, dynamic, and always ready to support her team in taking on the next challenge.

Guneet holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Manitoba, specializing in Data Science and AI. With a strong background in full stack development and hands-on experience as a machine learning engineer, she is passionate about building intelligent, scalable solutions that harness the power of data and automation.

Outside of work, Guneet enjoys exploring Canada’s natural beauty through hiking and outdoor adventures, watching movies, and enjoying Bhangra dancing. She also loves cooking Indian dishes, often blending tradition with creativity in the kitchen.

Leanne has a rare affinity for data, excelling at both analysis and visualization. Graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Operations Management, Leanne thrives in the technology sector, helping organizations improve through better processes and data transparency. Leanne believes that the role of data in all industries will continue to grow, and is excited about helping others to gain a better understanding in order to drive innovation.

In her free time, Leanne enjoys pursuing creative hobbies such as photography and poetry, while also tackling learning new languages.

Sarosh is a Data Analytics professional with 5+ years of experience across multiple industries. In all his positions, Sarosh has utilized his process improvement mindset and expertise in business intelligence, to help organizations be more efficient with their data analysis and reporting.

Currently, working as a Data Solutions Developer, specializing in building and optimizing data and BI infrastructures on Azure. Sarosh helps companies harness the power of their data by designing scalable, efficient solutions that drive informed decision-making and business growth.

Outside of work, Sarosh enjoys working out, running along the Bow River in Calgary, and cooking traditional Pakistani dishes.

Julie has always been keenly interested in data analytics and business, which led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and statistics at the University of Toronto and a Master’s of Science degree in Management with a focus on business analytics at Ivey Business School. Coupled with her storied educational background, Julie has extensive practical experience with data through conducting academic research, participating in real-world projects and working in data-related positions in several industries.

Julie believes that data enables managers of organizations to make better decisions and have a clearer understanding of business performance. Pursuing this passion at Pontem Innovations, Julie provides data solutions to businesses across various industries, including Power BI dashboard development and process automation with FlowForma.

Julie brings this passion to her hobbies outside of work as well, which include yoga, swimming and listening to music.

Curtis is a technology leader who has spent his career in IT Risk Assurance evaluations, IT consulting projects and data analytics. Starting at Pontem Innovations as the Business Intelligence lead, he is now the Data Solutions Manager where he works on various data analytics and workflow projects across multiple companies and industries. Curtis excels when working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex client problems every day. He values providing solutions that empower others, enable effective workflows and make a positive impact.

Curtis enjoys spending time with his family, building mechanical watches and working on his growing fleet of bicycles. Also an avid badminton player, he runs the local community badminton club and sits as president of the Edmonton District Badminton Association.

Rehan is a Business Analyst with a background in Management Information Systems and experience across data, systems, and software. He combines business insight with technical skills to help teams work smarter and make better decisions. He’s all about simplifying complex problems and building solutions that make huge impact.

Outside of work, he enjoys making custom perfume oils and exploring new hiking trails.

Raymund Ylaya is an experienced Full Stack developer with a solid foundation in web development. He earned his degree in Information Technology with a focus on Web Development from the University of San Jose–Recoletos and has been creating digital solutions since 2013.

With professional experience in both front-end and back-end development, he works fluently with technologies like PHP, Python, HTML, Bootstrap, jQuery, and SQL to create user-friendly websites and robust backend systems. Raymund is passionate about writing clean,efficient code and solving complex problems with practical, elegant solutions. He believes technology should not only work well but also look good—striving for functionality, performance, and design in every project.

Outside of work, Raymund enjoys watching movies and anime, playing computer games, and spending time at the beach or exploring malls.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Carleton University, Jenna is passionate about creating user-centered digital experiences that are both functional and visually engaging. She excels at balancing user needs, business goals, and development constraints — turning complex challenges into clear, actionable design solutions with a focus on intuitive interaction.

Jenna has experience building and working with design systems, shaping thoughtful features through user and stakeholder feedback, and embedding accessibility best practices throughout her process.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new cafés and boba shops. She also spends her time painting, crocheting, practicing pottery, and tap dancing — creative outlets that complement and inspire her design work.
